FERTILITY
Trying unsuccessfully to conceive a baby can be a very burdensome situation for a couple. Difficulties in achieving pregnancy can be due to many causes, which can originate from both the woman and the man.
From the woman’s point of view the requirements for a pregnancy are: normal anatomy of the genital organs with patent fallopian tubes, normal hormone production, functioning ovaries and a physiological bacterial colonisation of the vagina. From the man’s point of view, a sufficient production of well-functioning sperm, the necessary hormones and a patent spermatic duct are needed.
The first important step in determining the causes of a failure to conceive is a specialist consultation. Depending on your individual situation we can then perform or order special investigations to assist you in your process of achieving a normal pregnancy. We perform certain fertility treatments ourselves. If these do not lead to success, we work together with fertility centres in our region.
